Rally Day Sunday Sept. 7th

Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville will hold the Fall Rally Day to launch all of the fall preschool, youth and adult education ministries on Sunday morning, September 7, 2008.  Instead of the usual worship service schedule, there will be two blended services of traditional and praise music at 8:15 and 9:45 a.m.  At these services, the Pastors will install Sunday School teachers, confirmation leaders, Disciple Bible Study teachers, preschool teachers and launch the small group ministries LYFE (Living Your Faith Everyday) groups. 

As part of the morning's events, following the two worship services, there will be a Rally Day picnic lunch of hot dogs, salads, watermelon and deserts in the Fellowship Hall and outside under a big tent in the handicapped parking area.  Following lunch there will be activities such as volleyball, inflatable slide and bounce house, a dunking booth and other games.  There will also be a sing-along in the Fellowship Hall of old hymns, patriotic songs and Broadway show tunes.

Members of the community are invited to share this special day with the Grace Lutheran congregation.  If you are not a member of Grace Lutheran Church and wish to join us on September 7th, please call the church office at 693-4890 before Friday, August 29 th to make a reservation.  Grace Lutheran Church is located at the corner of Blythe Street and 6 th Avenue West in Hendersonville.
